Like many other innovative photographers, Mark came to professional photography through the back door having originally bought his first cameras to document a sailing expedition to the Antarctic peninsular.
The difficulty in capturing quintessential portraits of other expedition members intrigued and frustrated him.
It was to be the beginning of a deep and committed interest in portraiture, which led him ultimately to spend time with some of the best professionals in the business.
Now as a fully qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photography, Mark runs his own successful Studio.

Mark has recently been voted outright winner of the BIPP regional environmental portrait competition 2006
2007 BIPP regional competition winner for best studio portrait

2008 BIPP regional competition winner for best studio portrait
2008 BIPP regional winner for best environmental portrait
2008 BIPP regional overall winner for best social photographer
