A firm foundation:
We will spend a fun and light hearted day together, getting to grips with all the necessary basics, to build confidence and put you in creative control. Don’t worry its not rocket science. It’s a lot easier to learn through practical demonstration, and yes there will be a glass of vino for those that linger after 4:30pm with more questions.
Getting control and achieving consistently good results:
All 35mm Digital SLR cameras have only three basic controls: ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. All modes and camera programs are nothing more than a combination of the above. We take an in depth look at all three to discover exactly what effect they have, appreciate the merits of working in manual, and gain a necessary technical vocabulary.

The satisfaction in understanding your kit, and recognizing its limits. Setting your camera up properly for the task at hand. Throwing the background out of focus. Avoiding blurred images. Action shots and candids. Tips for achieving the perfect exposure. Rules of thumb for successful composition. A little on safely archiving your images.
